Agentforce alternative for sales: Agentforce SDR alternatives you can price without a Salesforce contract
Salesforce's AI SDR agent is billed per prospect or per action, and it only runs once your org is on an edition that supports it and an admin has built it. If you want outbound running on your Salesforce data this month, at a price you can read now, these are the options and what each one charges.

The short answer
The Agentforce alternatives for outbound that publish a price are AiSDR at $250 to $2,500 a month, Regie.ai at $49 a month for Pro, and Saleswoman at $399 a month on the Team plan that syncs to Salesforce. Qualified's Piper and Artisan's Ava both connect to Salesforce but quote only. Agentforce itself costs $2 per prospect conversation on top of a supported Salesforce edition.
The question that decides it is not which agent writes better. It is whether your org already runs an edition the agent supports, with an admin who has time to build it. If yes, Agentforce's per prospect price is hard to beat on paper. If either answer is no, the real cost of Agentforce is the upgrade and the project, and a flat priced tool that writes back into Salesforce is the faster buy.
What the Agentforce SDR agent is, in Salesforce's own words
Before comparing anything, the baseline. Everything below comes from Salesforce's pricing pages and its Help documentation for the agent, not from a partner blog or a review site.
Current name
Agentforce Engagement. Salesforce launched it as the Agentforce SDR agent, renamed it Agentforce Lead Nurturing, and its Help documentation now calls it Agentforce Engagement.
What it works on
Leads, contacts and person accounts already in your Salesforce org. The Owner field has to be filled before a record can be assigned to the agent. It does not bring its own contact data.
What it does
Sends the first email, follows up, answers prospect questions and books meetings for the record owner, within the instructions you set in Agentforce Builder.
Where it runs
Lightning Experience in the Enterprise, Performance and Unlimited editions with Sales and Einstein for Sales, per Salesforce Help. The current Sales Cloud pricing page sells Core at $195, Advanced at $395 and Max at $550 a user a month, billed annually, and says AI can be added to Core and above.
How usage is billed
$2 per conversation, or Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000 credits with a standard action using 20 credits. A conversation starts when the agent sends its first email to a prospect and covers everything it does for that prospect afterwards.
Sending limits
Up to 1,800 emails a day per agent on a Gmail account and 9,800 on Microsoft Exchange. At the limit it stops until the next day.
Setup
Built and changed in Setup or Agentforce Builder. Salesforce states that deploying these agents through change sets or metadata is not supported.
The part that decides fit
The agent works the records already in your org, and it inherits their quality. A lead with no owner cannot be assigned to it. A lead with a stale title or a dead company domain gets a confident email built on that. Teams whose Salesforce data is clean and current get the most from it. Teams that import a list every quarter and never tidy it are pricing a very good writer for very poor inputs.
Why sales teams look for an Agentforce SDR alternative
Four reasons come up in practice. None of them is that the agent cannot write an email.
The edition comes first
Salesforce Help lists the agent for Enterprise, Performance and Unlimited editions with Sales and Einstein for Sales. A team on Starter at $25 a user or Pro at $100 prices a seat upgrade for every rep before the first prospect conversation, and that upgrade is billed annually.
Usage is metered twice
You buy either conversations at $2 each or Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000. Credits are a shared pool, so other Agentforce agents in the org draw on the same balance. Forecasting a month means knowing every agent's consumption, not only the SDR agent's.
Someone has to build it
The agent is configured in Setup and Agentforce Builder, with instructions, topics and guardrails. Salesforce states that deploying it through change sets or metadata is not supported. In a company without a spare admin, that ticket can wait a quarter.
Autonomy is the design goal
The agent answers questions and books meetings on the owner's behalf, which is the point of it. Some teams want the opposite default for cold outbound: nothing leaves the domain until every factual claim about the prospect has a source, and a person has approved it.
Agentforce alternatives compared: price, meter and Salesforce sync
Six options side by side. The price column is what each vendor prints on its own site. Where a vendor prints nothing, this page prints nothing either.
| Tool | Price published | Published figure | What it meters | Salesforce | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Agentforce Engagement (Salesforce) | Yes, usage only | $2 a conversation, or 20 Flex Credits an action, on a Salesforce edition | Prospects engaged, or actions taken | Native, it is Salesforce | An Enterprise or Unlimited org with clean leads and an admin to build the agent |
| Qualified (Piper) | No | Quote only | Plan built around your pipeline | Built for Salesforce | Inbound: turning website visitors into meetings |
| Artisan (Ava) | No | Quote only | Leads contacted a month, mailboxes, dialer seats | Two way Salesforce and HubSpot sync | A volume motion that also needs a bundled contact database |
| AiSDR | Yes | $250, $900 or $2,500 a month | AI researched contacts a month | Salesforce sync on the $2,500 Scale tier | A known contact volume and a budget for the Scale tier |
| Regie.ai | Yes | $49 a month for Pro, then quoted | Credits per action | CRM sync on the quoted Enterprise tier | One person testing AI outbound before involving the Salesforce admin |
| Saleswoman | Yes | $399 a month on Team, where Salesforce sync starts | Flat monthly, never per seat or per prospect | Finds or creates the Lead, logs each send as a Task | Outbound to known accounts where every claim in the email has to hold up |
Figures come from each vendor's own public pricing page. Software pricing changes, so confirm before you sign. The monthly Agentforce math at four prospect volumes is in agentforce sdr agent pricing, and every AI SDR vendor that publishes a number is on ai sdr pricing.
Which Agentforce alternative fits which Salesforce team
These tools are not chasing the same buyer. Match the meter and the motion to your team instead of ranking them one to five.
-
Saleswoman, if the accounts are known and the claims must hold up
This is the one we build, so weigh it accordingly. It researches each prospect's own site, writes the first touch and the follow ups, and marks every factual sentence as sourced or unverified. An unverified claim holds the send. Team is $399 a month flat with three seats, five mailboxes and Salesforce sync: it finds the Lead by email or creates it, then logs each sent email as a completed Task with the claim check in the description.
Check before you sign
No contact database, no dialer, and it does not book meetings. A reply stops the thread and goes to a person.
-
AiSDR, if you want an autonomous agent with a price on it
AiSDR sells an autonomous AI SDR priced by researched contacts: Solo at $250 a month for 200, Explore at $900 for 800, Scale at $2,500 for 2,500. It is the closest like for like swap for Agentforce's autonomy. The Salesforce detail matters here: AiSDR lists Salesforce sync on Scale, while HubSpot sync is on every tier.
Check before you sign
Explore and Scale are quarterly contracts. Salesforce sync starts at $2,500 a month.
-
Qualified's Piper, if the gap is inbound, not outbound
Piper is built around turning website visitors into meetings, and Qualified sells it as the AI SDR agent for Salesforce. If your pipeline problem is that demo requests and pricing page visitors go unworked, that is a different job from cold outbound, and Piper is aimed squarely at it. No tier shows a price.
Check before you sign
Quote only, and a plan built around your pipeline usually means an annual contract.
-
Artisan, if you also need the contact data
Artisan's Ava comes with a bundled B2B database, enrichment, sequencing and a dialer add on, with two way Salesforce sync. Its smallest named tier is sized around roughly 2,500 leads contacted a month. For a team with no list and a large market, the bundle removes a purchase. The full comparison is on the Artisan alternative page.
Check before you sign
Every tier is scoped on a sales call. No dollar figure is published.
-
Regie.ai, if one rep is proving the idea first
Pro is $49 a month for 5,000 credits, self serve and without a contract. It is the cheapest honest way to test AI outbound on your segment before asking the Salesforce admin for anything. CRM sync sits on the quoted Enterprise tier, so a successful test brings you back to a sales call.

Plan to copy results into Salesforce by hand during the test.

When Agentforce is the right buy
Said plainly, because a page called Agentforce alternative that never finds for Agentforce is an advert, and you would be right to discount it.
You are already on Unlimited or Enterprise with Einstein
The edition is a sunk cost, so the marginal price is the usage: $2 a prospect conversation, or 20 Flex Credits an action. Few third party tools beat that per prospect at moderate volume when the seats are already paid for.
You want replies answered and meetings booked
The agent answers prospect questions and books meetings for the record owner. Email first tools that stop a thread on reply, Saleswoman included, hand that moment to a person. If nobody on your team can answer within the hour, the agent's autonomy is worth a lot.
Procurement will not add a vendor
Security review, a data processing agreement and legal terms are done for Salesforce already. An outside tool means repeating all three. For a regulated buyer, that alone can outweigh any price difference.
Your data is clean and owned
Every lead has an owner, a current title and a live domain, and the org has an admin who ships changes weekly. That is the environment the agent was designed for, and it will use it well.
What "syncs with Salesforce" should mean before you believe it
Every outside AI SDR says it works with Salesforce. The phrase covers everything from a two way sync to a CSV you upload on Fridays. Ask each vendor these three questions and write the answers down.
How activity lands on the record, and what the logged note contains, is covered on crm automation.
Does it match the existing record first?
A tool that creates a new Lead for every send turns a clean org into a deduplication project inside a month. Saleswoman queries for a Lead with the prospect's email and only creates one when none exists.
What exactly is written back, and where?
The minimum useful answer is the sent email on the record's activity timeline, dated. Saleswoman writes a completed Task on the Lead whose description holds the email and the claim check: how many factual sentences it made, how many had no source, and the spam risk score.
What access does it ask for?
An outbound tool needs to read and write Leads and Tasks. A vendor asking for full org access to log an email is asking for more than the job needs, and your admin should say no before the pilot starts.
If the real alternative is people
Some teams comparing Agentforce are really choosing between software and an outsourced SDR agency. What agencies charge, and which ones publish a figure, is on sdr outsourcing.
