AI sales assistant questions, answered plainly

Every answer here is allowed to say no. The ones that admit a limit are the ones worth reading, because a tool that does everything is the tool nobody signs off on.

The domain and deliverability

4 questions

Will this get my domain blacklisted?

That is the right question to lead with, and no tool can promise it will not happen. What Saleswoman does is remove the ways it usually happens. You set a hard daily ceiling per mailbox and the send stops at it, not near it. The sequence pauses itself if your complaint rate reaches 0.10%, which is the level Google tells senders to stay under, well below the 0.30% threshold in the same guidance. Suppression is checked at draft time rather than at send time, so a suppressed contact never reaches a queue. And nothing goes out without an unsubscribe line. If you want the extra layer, send from a separate domain: there is an answer on that further down.

How many emails a day will it actually send?

Exactly as many as you allow. The cap is a number you type, per mailbox, and the plans are built around it: up to 40 a day on Solo, 80 on Team, 150 on Scale. Those are ceilings, not targets, and there is no override inside the agent. No burst mode, no catching up after a quiet day, no quota it is trying to reach.

Do I need a separate sending domain?

You do not need one, and we recommend one anyway. A dedicated domain that mirrors your brand keeps any deliverability damage away from the address your customers and your invoices depend on. If you send from your primary domain, keep the volume low and watch the complaint rate. Saleswoman works either way and reports per domain on the Scale tier and above.

Does it warm up my mailbox first?

No. There is no warmup network here and no reciprocal sending pool, because those work by generating fake engagement and we are not going to pretend that is a control. Volume is managed with the cap instead: start low, keep the complaint rate near zero, raise the ceiling yourself when the record supports it.

Accuracy and control

5 questions

What stops it from making things up about my prospect?

Every sentence in a draft is classified as either asserting a checkable fact or not. A sentence that asserts one has to point at a source you supplied: a CRM field, a note, a page you connected. If it cannot, the sentence is marked unverified in the claim ledger, the draft is held, and you either supply the source, take the suggested rewrite or cut the sentence. You can watch it happen in the demo on the homepage: leave the "one fact you can prove" field empty and read what the ledger says about the draft that comes back.

Does the recipient know it is AI?

Yes, if you leave the disclosure line on, and it is on by default. The draft carries a line saying the email was written with AI assistance, and you can edit the wording. Turning it off entirely is possible, and we think it is a bad idea in most markets, particularly in the EU where transparency obligations are tightening. The compliance check tells you which of the three lines are present in every draft: disclosure, unsubscribe and a postal address.

Can I approve every email before it sends?

Yes. Approval before send is a per sequence setting, and on Enterprise it can be enforced by role so an individual cannot turn it off. Many teams start with every email approved, then move to approving only the drafts the ledger flagged, then to spot checks. The audit trail is identical either way.

What if I want to stop it mid sequence?

One control stops everything: the sequence, the queue and every scheduled follow up. Nothing is in flight that a stop cannot catch, because sends are queued against your daily cap rather than fired in a burst. Replies stop their own thread automatically, so a prospect who answers never receives the next step.

What does the spam score actually measure?

The draft, and only the draft. It reads the text that is about to leave and names what it found: trigger phrases, the link count, all caps words, exclamation marks, the length, the reading grade and whether the unsubscribe and address lines are present. It does not seed test inboxes, it does not check blocklists and it cannot tell you which folder a message landed in. Anything that claims to do that is testing delivery, which is a different job from checking a draft.

Data, privacy and the law

4 questions

Does it work for GDPR, UWG and CASL markets?

It is built so you can operate inside them, but it is not legal advice and it cannot consent on your behalf. Practically: consent status is a field, suppression is enforced before drafting, every send stores the lawful basis you recorded, and data can be held in an EU region on Enterprise. In Germany, cold B2B email without prior consent is restricted under UWG §7 and no tool changes that. In Canada, CASL requires consent or a documented existing business relationship. Saleswoman records which one you claimed for each contact, so the record exists when someone asks for it.

What happens to my data?

It stays yours. Your CRM records, your notes and your drafts are used to run your account and nothing else. We do not sell data, we do not build a shared contact database out of customer accounts, and prospect data is never used to train a model. You can export everything and you can delete everything. Retention windows are configurable on Enterprise, including regional hosting.

Where does the model run, and does it learn from my emails?

Drafting runs against a hosted language model provider, server side, and your prospect data is not used to train foundation models. Nothing you write becomes training material for anyone else. Inside your own account the claim library learns which statements you approved, because you approved them explicitly, and that library never crosses accounts.

Can I get a DPA and a security review?

Yes, on Enterprise, along with SSO and SAML, SCIM provisioning, approval policies enforced by role, regional hosting and scheduled audit export to your own bucket. A DPA is available on request on the other plans. The full control list is on the security page.

Fit, setup and buying it

8 questions

How is this different from an autonomous AI SDR?

Two ways, and both are structural rather than a matter of quality. First, the output is inspectable: every draft arrives with a ledger saying what it asserted, where each claim came from, and why it did or did not clear. Tools sold as an autonomous employee return an email and a dashboard of activity. Second, this one is built to stop. Caps, suppression, a pause on complaint rate and a hold on unsourced claims are core behaviour, not settings that can be turned off to hit a number. On price, the top self-serve tier here is $999 a month flat rather than per seat, while the sequencing tools anchor per seat and the autonomous agents sit on annual contracts. There is a capability comparison, by category and without naming vendors, on the comparison page.

Does it replace my SDR?

No, and we would rather lose the sale than claim otherwise. It removes the research and the first draft, which is where most of an SDR morning goes, and it keeps the follow ups on schedule. It does not run a discovery call, it does not read a room, it does not handle a real objection, and it does not know when a deal has gone quiet for a reason nobody wrote down. If you have no SDR, it gets you pipeline you would not otherwise have. If you have SDRs, it gives them back their mornings.

Do you need my CRM to start?

No. You can paste a list and start writing, which is what most people do on day one. CRM sync is where it gets good, because that is where the sourceable facts live: the last conversation, the deal stage, the note somebody left in March. Sync is available on every paid tier for HubSpot and Pipedrive, and from Team for Salesforce.

Which mailboxes and CRMs does it connect to?

Mailboxes: Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 by OAuth, and any mailbox you can reach over SMTP and IMAP. CRMs: HubSpot and Pipedrive on every paid tier, Salesforce from Team. What is not supported: a shared inbox or a ticketing system as a sending identity, because the audit trail has to point at a person, and consumer mail accounts, because outbound from one is a deliverability problem no cap can fix.

Is it priced per seat?

No. It is flat monthly, so adding a rep does not add a bill. Per seat pricing charges you for the people watching the work rather than for the work, and in a tool like this one it creates the worst possible incentive: sharing a login to keep the bill down, which destroys the audit trail that is the point of the product.

What happens after I sign up today?

We confirm your email address with a 6 digit code, and then we email you the next steps for connecting Saleswoman to your sending domain, along with your onboarding link. Nothing is charged today, no card is taken, and there is no checkout anywhere on this site.

What is the setup time?

Connecting a mailbox and sending your first drafted email is a job of minutes. Getting to a sequence you trust unattended takes longer, usually a few days of reviewing drafts and correcting them, because that is how the claim library fills up with statements you have actually approved. Anyone who tells you an AI SDR is production ready in an hour is describing a demo, not a domain you care about.

Is there a contract?

Monthly plans are month to month and you can cancel from your account. Annual plans are billed for the year and give you two months free. Enterprise agreements are negotiated, and that is where the DPA, the SLA, the security review and invoicing live. There is no free tier: the demo on this site is the free taste, and it is the real product doing real work.

Four things it does not do, in case you assumed

Each of these is a real product in someone else's category. None of them is on the roadmap as a way of getting this page shorter.

Record or transcribe calls

No audio, no meeting notes, no call coaching.

Test inbox placement

It scores the draft. It cannot tell you which folder a message landed in.

Warm up mailboxes

No warmup network, no reciprocal pool. The cap is how volume is managed.

Sell you contact data

No lead database, no email finder. You bring the list.

Still deciding? The capability comparison is on the AI SDR tools comparison, the controls are on the email compliance software page, and the numbers are on AI SDR software pricing.

The answer you want is probably in the ledger.

Run the demo on an account you know well and read what it marks as unverified. That is the product argument, and it takes about a minute.

Run it on a prospect

Your data stays yours. Prospect data is never used to train a model. Nothing is charged today.
