Who this is about

Saleswoman is the brand and the product described on this site. Where this policy says "we", it means the operator of the Saleswoman service. The way to reach us about anything on this page is [email protected]. Every request described below is handled from that address by a person.

What we collect from visitors to this site

• Your email address, if you enter it to get started. Nothing else is asked for.
• How you arrived: the referring page and any campaign parameters in the link you followed, so we know which page produced an interested visitor.
• Technical request data: IP address and browser user agent, kept with the signup record for abuse prevention.
• What you typed into the demo, for the duration of generating the draft. The prospect, what you sell and the fact you supplied are sent to our language model provider to produce the email, and they are not stored against your identity afterwards.

What we do not collect

No name, no phone number, no company, no job title, and no payment details, because this site does not take payment. We do not use advertising cookies to build a profile of you across other sites, and we do not sell or rent any of it to anyone. There is no contact form on this site, so there is no free-text message store either.

Why we are allowed to hold it

For the signup record: your consent, given by entering the address and confirming it with the code we email you. Withdraw it at any time by writing to us and the record is deleted. For technical request data: our legitimate interest in keeping the service free of automated abuse, balanced against the small amount of data involved and its short retention.

How long we keep it

• An unconfirmed signup: deleted after 30 days.
• A confirmed signup: kept while you want to hear from us, and deleted on request.
• Technical request data: kept with the signup record and deleted with it.
• Demo input: held only for the request that generates the draft.

Who else processes it

A small number of processors, each doing one job: the hosting provider that runs the site, the mail provider that delivers the confirmation code, and the language model provider that generates the demo draft. Each acts on our instructions only. The current list of subprocessors, with what each one does and where it operates, is available on request from [email protected], and the categories are set out on the email compliance software page.

Some of those processors operate outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer relies on the safeguards in that processor's own data processing terms rather than on anything we have invented for this page. Which processor, operating where, under which safeguard, is part of the subprocessor list, and the list is sent to anyone who asks for it.

Customer data inside the product

This is separate from the site. Where a customer uses Saleswoman to run outreach, the customer is the controller of their prospect data and we are the processor. That data belongs to the customer: it is used to run their account and nothing else, it is not pooled into a shared contact database, and it is not used to train foundation models. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to us holding it, or ask for it in a portable format. Write to [email protected] and we will action it. We do not require a form, an account or a reason. If you are in the EU or the UK you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Cookies

A session cookie so the site works, and the security token that stops other sites submitting forms on your behalf. Both are strictly necessary and neither follows you anywhere. If we later add analytics, this page will say which product and what it stores, before it is turned on.

Children

Saleswoman is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or why, we will change the date at the top and, for anyone who has confirmed an email address with us, say so by email. We are not going to bury a material change in a version number.
