Clay pricing and Clay cost for Launch and Growth, per data credit, per action and per row
Clay Launch costs $185 a month for 2,500 data credits and 15,000 actions, and Growth costs $495 for 6,000 credits and 40,000 actions, or $167 and $446 a month billed annually. Seats are unlimited. What you really pay depends on how many credits each row burns.

The short answer
Clay prices two things separately. Data credits buy the data, from $0.05 each. Actions pay for the platform work, at under a cent each. Every plan bundles a starting amount of both, and each slider can be raised on its own.
The card price is the two sliders added together. Launch at $185 is $60 of actions plus $125 of data credits. Growth at $495 is $205 plus $290. Annual billing takes about 10 percent off and delivers the whole year of credits up front.
Most guides that rank for Clay pricing still list Starter, Explorer and Pro at $149, $349 and $800. Those plans are no longer on Clay's pricing page. Everything here is read off the current page.

Annual commitment, Clay API, SSO, role based access, a growth strategist
Every plan has unlimited seats and tables, multi provider waterfalls and Claygent, Clay's web research agent. CRM auto-sync starts on Growth, so a team that wants enriched records written back into Salesforce or HubSpot automatically is pricing Growth, not Launch.
Clay cost per data credit as you move the slider
Data credits get cheaper with volume, but not by much. From the smallest Launch tier to the largest the price per credit drops about 15 percent. The bigger saving comes from not buying credits at all: with your own API key for a provider, Clay charges one action per run and no data credit.
The expensive credit is the one you run out of. Top-ups on Launch and Growth cost 30 percent above the plan rate, so a team that keeps topping up should move the slider instead.
| Data credits | Slider price | Per credit |
|---|---|---|
| 2,500 a month | $125 | $0.050 |
| 6,000 a month | $290 | $0.048 |
| 10,000 a month | $460 | $0.046 |
| 20,000 a month | $880 | $0.044 |
| 50,000 a month | $2,125 | $0.043 |
Monthly billing, Launch. Actions are priced on a second slider from $60 for 15,000 a month to $540 for 200,000, and reset every cycle.
What one researched row costs on Launch
Clay does not price a contact, it prices steps. A row that finds a work email, pulls the company record and runs one AI column burns several credits, and the count depends on which providers and models your table calls. Your own table shows the number per column before it runs.
$185 a month, 2,500 credits, if each row uses
A calculator, not Clay's figure: plug in the credits per row your table shows. Actions are included in the $185.
The cost that is not on Clay's pricing page
Clay is a builder's tool. The software bill is small next to the hours someone spends making the table work.
Someone has to build it
Waterfalls, AI columns, CRM pushes and signals are configured by hand. Clay runs a job board for GTM engineers and a directory of Clay experts you can hire, which tells you who the tool is designed around.
Someone has to check it
An AI column that writes an opening line will write one for every row, true or not. Somebody reads the output before it reaches a prospect, or the table sends a wrong fact at scale.
Someone has to send it
Clay has its own sequencer and integrations with sending tools. Mailboxes, warmup and reply handling are still a job, and on many teams a second subscription.
If nobody on your team wants to own a Clay workspace, buy the finished output instead. Saleswoman researches the accounts you give it, writes the sequence, cites a source for every factual claim and holds anything it cannot back up for review. Team is $399 a month with three seats and five mailboxes, month to month, or $199 a month billed annually.
Every plan, including a single seat Solo at $149, is on pricing. Teams that mainly need contact data rather than a workflow builder will find the per seat tools broken down on lusha pricing and amplemarket pricing.
Clay pricing against other prospecting and AI SDR tools
Six options. The figure column holds only what each vendor prints on its own site.
| Tool | Published figure | What it meters | Seats | Writes the email |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Clay | Launch $185, Growth $495 a month, or $167 and $446 billed annually. Enterprise quoted | Data credits and actions, two separate meters | Unlimited | If you build the prompt column |
| Apollo.io | Basic $49, Professional $79, Organization $119 per seat a month billed annually (3 seat minimum on Organization) | Credits pooled across the team, no rollover | Per seat | AI writing on Professional and up |
| Lusha | Starter $49.90, Pro $69.90, Premium $399.90 a month, 25% less yearly | Credits, a phone reveal costs 5 | Per plan | No |
| Amplemarket | Startup $600 a month on an annual term for 2 users, Growth and Elite quoted | Credits per user | 2 on Startup | Yes, inside sequences |
| AiSDR | $1.50 per person prospected; Team plans quoted by volume | People prospected, not seats | Priced by people prospected, not seats | Yes, autonomous |
| Saleswoman | $149 Solo, $399 Team, $999 Scale month to month, or $74, $199 and $499 a month billed annually | Flat, never per row or per prospect. No contact database | 1, 3 or more by plan | Yes, every claim sourced |
Figures come from each vendor's own public pricing page, read directly. Software pricing changes, so confirm before you sign. Tools to switch to are sorted by the job Clay was doing in clay alternatives, and the AI SDR vendors that print a price are lined up on ai sdr pricing.
When Clay is the right buy
Said plainly, because a pricing page that never finds for the vendor is an advert.
You have a builder
A RevOps lead or GTM engineer who enjoys building tables gets more out of Clay than out of any fixed workflow tool. The flexibility is the product.
You need coverage from many providers
Waterfalls across 150+ data partners find emails and phones that a single database misses, and you pay nothing when a lookup comes back empty.
You enrich your CRM, not just a list
Growth syncs and enriches CRM records, tracks web intent and pushes ad audiences. That is a data operations job Saleswoman does not do.
Your whole team needs access
Seats are unlimited on every plan, so ten people sharing one Launch workspace pay the same as one.

The guide on this
Most teams leave Clay for one of three reasons: the credits are hard to forecast, nobody owns the tables, or the emails at the end still need rewriting. Which alternative fits depends on which one is yours, and on whether a per seat tool like Apollo is cheaper at your team size.
